Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Witches' Sabbath by Stanley William Hayter was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in December 2021. It achieved a price of USD 1,402.50 (€ 1,239.18), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Stanley William Hayter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Spring in March 2016 with an auction result of USD 115,000.00 (€ 100,965.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Witches' Sabbath von Stanley William Hayter kam im Dezember 2021 bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 1.402,50 (€ 1.239,18) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Stanley William Hayter erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Spring im März 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 115.000,00 (€ 100.965,76).
