Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work View from the farrier by Simon Simonsen was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in October this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of DKK 8,000.00 – 10,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 6,500.00 (€ 870.93). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Simon Simonsen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dachshund Puppies in December 2006 with an auction result of USD 18,000.00 (€ 13,639.46).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit View from the farrier von Simon Simonsen im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von DKK 8.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 6.500,00 (€ 870,93) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Simon Simonsen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dachshund Puppies im Dezember 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 18.000,00 (€ 13.639,46).
