Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Hello Kitty (Pink) by Shepard Fairey was auctioned at Bonhams in Hong Kong in September last year. The price achieved of HKD 10,200.00 (€ 1,327.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shepard Fairey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Obama Hope in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 600,800.00 (€ 515,840.99).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Hello Kitty (Pink) von Shepard Fairey kam im September letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 10.200,00 (€ 1.327,26) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shepard Fairey erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Obama Hope im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 600.800,00 (€ 515.840,99).
