The work The Martyrdom of Imam Hussein 29 x 22cm each by Shakir Hassan Al Said was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including Baghdadiyat Part IIIThe Finale auction at Bonhams in London in November last year. The price achieved of GBP 5,355.00 (€ 6,205.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shakir Hassan Al Said achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hob Al-Watan Min Al Iman (Loving The Homeland Is Part Of Faith) in June 2021 with an auction result of GBP 175,250.00 (€ 204,211.81).

Die Arbeit The Martyrdom of Imam Hussein 29 x 22cm each von Shakir Hassan Al Said wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including Baghdadiyat Part IIIThe Finale bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.355,00 (€ 6.205,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shakir Hassan Al Said erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hob Al-Watan Min Al Iman (Loving The Homeland Is Part Of Faith) im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 175.250,00 (€ 204.211,81).
