Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Shakir Hassan Al Said was auctioned at Christies in London in November last year. The price achieved of GBP 50,400.00 (€ 58,402.09) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Shakir Hassan Al Said - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hob Al-Watan Min Al Iman (Loving The Homeland Is Part Of Faith), which sold at auction in June 2021 for GBP 175,250.00 (€ 204,211.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Shakir Hassan Al Said kam im November letzten Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 50.400,00 (€ 58.402,09) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Shakir Hassan Al Said mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Hob Al-Watan Min Al Iman (Loving The Homeland Is Part Of Faith) beobachtet, die im Juni 2021 für GBP 175.250,00 (€ 204.211,81) versteigert wurde.
