Auction result misses estimated price range
In June last year a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Sanya Kantarovsky for HKD 504,000.00 (€ 61,333.08). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale at Phillips in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 600,000.00 – 800,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Sanya Kantarovsky have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work No Eyes in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 390,600.00 (€ 462,755.51).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Sanya Kantarovsky für HKD 504.000,00 (€ 61.333,08) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale bei Phillips in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 600.000,00 – 800.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sanya Kantarovsky auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit No Eyes im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 390.600,00 (€ 462.755,51).
