Auction result fails to reach estimate
When the work Fishwives and shoppers on a grey day at Gammel Strand in Copenhagen by Siren Christian Bjulf was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in October this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously set the estimate at DKK 3,000.00, but this failed to be met - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 1,500.00 (€ 200.98). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Siren Christian Bjulf achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A man offering fish from a cart in the snow in January 2024 with an auction result of DKK 3,400.00 (€ 2,971.51).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Als die Arbeit Fishwives and shoppers on a grey day at Gammel Strand in Copenhagen von Siren Christian Bjulf im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit DKK 3.000,00 angegeben, den dieses Werk bei seiner Versteigerung leider nicht erreichen konnte - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 1.500,00 (€ 200,98) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Siren Christian Bjulf erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A man offering fish from a cart in the snow im Januar 2024 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 3.400,00 (€ 2.971,51).
