This artwork by Roby Dwi Antono achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in Hong Kong in March this year. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Speed of Light sold for HKD 76,200.00 (€ 8,922.24) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Roby Dwi Antono achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Asih in May last year with an auction result of HKD 2,520,000.00 (€ 299,178.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 91 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Roby Dwi Antono erzielte im März diesen Jahres bei Phillips in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Speed of Light für HKD 76.200,00 (€ 8.922,24) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 40.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Roby Dwi Antono erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Asih im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.520.000,00 (€ 299.178,08).
