Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pikes Peak 28 x 36 in. framed 38 x 45 in. by Robert William Wood was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November last year. The price achieved of USD 3,825.00 (€ 3,705.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Robert William Wood have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Floral hillside in April 2019 with an auction result of USD 21,325.00 (€ 19,038.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Pikes Peak 28 x 36 in. framed 38 x 45 in. von Robert William Wood kam im November letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.825,00 (€ 3.705,32) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Robert William Wood auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Floral hillside im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 21.325,00 (€ 19.038,48).
