Auction result misses estimated price range
In May this year a collector was able to acquire the work Mountains in Early Autumn by Robert William Wood for USD 1,152.00 (€ 1,081.28). This price was achieved in the auction American Art | Bonhams Skinner at Bonhams in Marlborough, Massachusetts and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert William Wood achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Floral hillside in April 2019 with an auction result of USD 21,325.00 (€ 19,038.48).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Mountains in Early Autumn von Robert William Wood für USD 1.152,00 (€ 1.081,28) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Art | Bonhams Skinner bei Bonhams in Marlborough, Massachusetts erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert William Wood erzielen.
