In May this year a collector was able to acquire the work Mountains in Early Autumn by Robert William Wood for USD 1,152.00 (€ 1,081.28). This price was achieved in the auction American Art | Bonhams Skinner at Bonhams in Marlborough, Massachusetts and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert William Wood achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Floral hillside in April 2019 with an auction result of USD 21,325.00 (€ 19,038.48).
