Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year Bonhams in Edinburgh held the auction California Art, which included the work California Landscape by Robert William Wood. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,200.00 (€ 2,933.63) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Robert William Wood have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Floral hillside in April 2019 with an auction result of USD 21,325.00 (€ 19,038.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Edinburgh die Auktion California Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit California Landscape von Robert William Wood zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.200,00 (€ 2.933,63) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Robert William Wood auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Floral hillside im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 21.325,00 (€ 19.038,48).
