In November last year Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts held the auction Modern & Contemporary Art, which included the work Untitled from the series Apollo by Robert Natkin. The »bidding war« ended at USD 2,700.00 (€ 2,615.52), 50% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Natkin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 58,000.00 (€ 37,255.91).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled from the series Apollo von Robert Natkin zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 2.700,00 (€ 2.615,52) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Natkin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 58.000,00 (€ 37.255,91).
