Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 12,600.00 (€ 10,883.65) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rineke Dijkstra achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hilton Head Island, S.C., USA, June 24, 1992 color coupler print 75 x 61½ in. (190 x 156 cm.) Executed in 1992. Die Arbeit Tiergarten, Berlin, August 13, 2000 von Rineke Dijkstra kam im September 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion.
