Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2004 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures, which included the work Figures Outside A Thatched Cottage, Children Playing Next To A Stream Nearby by Richard Hilder. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,135.25 (€ 1,019.94) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Richard Hilder have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Cottage With Figures And Livestock By A River, Surrey in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 7,250.00 (€ 9,164.24).

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.135,25 (€ 1.019,94) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00.
