Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2000 Christies in London held the auction British and Victorian Pictures, which included the work Figures on a track in a wooded landscape, a cottage beyond by Richard Hilder. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,290.00 (€ 5,215.06) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Richard Hilder have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2008 the work A Cottage With Figures And Livestock By A River, Surrey was auctioned for GBP 7,250.00 (€ 9,164.24).

Im Juni 2000 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Victorian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Figures on a track in a wooded landscape, a cottage beyond von Richard Hilder zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.290,00 (€ 5.215,06) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Richard Hilder konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juni 2008 die Arbeit A Cottage With Figures And Livestock By A River, Surrey für GBP 7.250,00 (€ 9.164,24) versteigert.
