Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Red of Summer by Richard Larter was sold in the AUSTRALIAN & INTERNATIONAL PAINTINGS auction at Christies in Melbourne in November 2001. The price achieved of AUD 11,162.50 (€ 6,483.42) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 9,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Richard Larter have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Australian Outlook I-Vii (7) in November 2007 with an auction result of AUD 74,400.00 (€ 44,818.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Red of Summer von Richard Larter wurde im November 2001 in der Auktion AUSTRALIAN & INTERNATIONAL PAINTINGS bei Christies in Melbourne versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 11.162,50 (€ 6.483,42) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 9.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Richard Larter auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Australian Outlook I-Vii (7) im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 74.400,00 (€ 44.818,30).
