Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Rhee Seundja was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2021. The price achieved of HKD 176,400.00 (€ 18,886.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rhee Seundja achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Subitement la loi (A Sudden Law) in May last year with an auction result of HKD 5,670,000.00 (€ 673,150.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Rhee Seundja wurde im April 2021 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 176.400,00 (€ 18.886,38) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rhee Seundja erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Subitement la loi (A Sudden Law) im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.670.000,00 (€ 673.150,68).
