Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2019 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Ram Kumar for USD 50,000.00 (€ 44,531.53). This price was achieved in the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ram Kumar achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vagabond in March 2008 with an auction result of USD 1,161,000.00 (€ 734,577.67).
