Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Rafael Monzó could be acquired at Christies in London in October 2002 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and Continental Pictures auction, the work Barcas changed hands for GBP 493.50 (€ 780.63) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Admittedly, works by Rafael Monzó have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pescadores Y Barcas in April 2008 with an auction result of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 3,187.15).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Rafael Monzó konnte im Oktober 2002 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion British and Continental Pictures wechselte die Arbeit Barcas für GBP 493,50 (€ 780,63) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rafael Monzó auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pescadores Y Barcas im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 3.187,15).
