In September 2021 Bonhams in New York held the auction The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy III, which included the work True Meaning Of Mountains And Streams, 1884 by Pu Hua. The »bidding war« ended at USD 65,312.50 (€ 56,415.74), 63% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Pu Hua have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bamboo in October 2015 with an auction result of HKD 3,200,000.00 (€ 373,845.32).

Im September 2021 führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy III durch, in der auch die Arbeit True Meaning Of Mountains And Streams, 1884 von Pu Hua zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 65.312,50 (€ 56.415,74) und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pu Hua auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bamboo im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.200.000,00 (€ 373.845,32).
