Set of four hanging scrolls, ink on paper, each signed by the artist Zuoying, Hua, Pu Hua, xiushui Pu Hua, one dated dingwei (1907), with a total six seals of the artist reading Pu Hua yin, Zuoying, xiushui Pu Hua Zuoying, Furong an, Pu Hua yinxin.

This artwork by Pu Hua achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Hong Kong in November 2020. In the The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy II auction, the work Calligraphy in Cursive Script sold for HKD 690,000.00 (€ 74,497.82) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 250,000.00. Admittedly, works by Pu Hua have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bamboo in October 2015 with an auction result of HKD 3,200,000.00 (€ 373,845.32).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Pu Hua erzielte im November 2020 bei Bonhams in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy II wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy in Cursive Script für HKD 690.000,00 (€ 74.497,82) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 250.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pu Hua auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bamboo im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.200.000,00 (€ 373.845,32).
