Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Congolese le Sape Ceinture by Camille-Pierre Pambu Bodo was sold in the Modern & Contemporary African Art auction at Sothebys in London in October 2018. The price achieved of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,356.53) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Camille-Pierre Pambu Bodo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Matswapanga - 2011, which sold at auction in December 2017 for EUR 16,250.00.

Die Arbeit Congolese le Sape Ceinture von Camille-Pierre Pambu Bodo wurde im Oktober 2018 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.356,53) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Camille-Pierre Pambu Bodo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Matswapanga - 2011 beobachtet, die im Dezember 2017 für EUR 16.250,00 versteigert wurde.
