Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Man by Peter Booth was sold in the AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS auction at Christies in Melbourne in May 2004. The price achieved of AUD 59,750.00 (€ 34,910.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 55,000.00 – 65,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Peter Booth - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Australian Untitled, 2002, which sold at auction in November 2008 for AUD 168,000.00 (€ 86,633.69).

Die Arbeit Man von Peter Booth wurde im Mai 2004 in der Auktion AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS bei Christies in Melbourne versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 59.750,00 (€ 34.910,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 55.000,00 – 65.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Peter Booth mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Australian Untitled, 2002 beobachtet, die im November 2008 für AUD 168.000,00 (€ 86.633,69) versteigert wurde.
