Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2002 Christies in Melbourne held the auction AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS, which included the work For Anno by Peter Booth. The price achieved of AUD 8,812.50 (€ 4,969.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Booth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian Untitled, 2002 in November 2008 with an auction result of AUD 168,000.00 (€ 86,633.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2002 führte Christies in Melbourne die Auktion AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit For Anno von Peter Booth zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 8.812,50 (€ 4.969,68) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peter Booth erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Australian Untitled, 2002 im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 168.000,00 (€ 86.633,69).
