In June 2006 Christies in Paris held the auction Collection Claude et Simone Dray - Art Déco, which included the work Eléphants, Vers 1923 by Paul Jouve. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 38,400.00 28% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Paul Jouve have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Panthère Noire Combattant Un Python, Vers 1930 in June 2006 with an auction result of EUR 168,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 28 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2006 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Collection Claude et Simone Dray - Art Déco durch, in der auch die Arbeit Eléphants, Vers 1923 von Paul Jouve zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 38.400,00 und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul Jouve auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Panthère Noire Combattant Un Python, Vers 1930 im Juni 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 168.000,00.
