Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Paul Gustav Fischer could be acquired at Christies in London in May 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Arthur Ackermann and Peter Johnson Collection: A Connoisseur's Choice auction, the work Study of a gentleman, traditionally identified as the King of Sweden, in tails and white gloves changed hands for GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,385.08) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Gustav Fischer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Winter's Day on Kongens Nytorv, Copenhagen in October 2006 with an auction result of USD 144,000.00 (€ 112,737.81).
In der Auktion The Arthur Ackermann and Peter Johnson Collection: A Connoisseur's Choice wechselte die Arbeit Study of a gentleman, traditionally identified as the King of Sweden, in tails and white gloves für GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.385,08) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00.
