The work Italian Town, Spring by Paul Feiler was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in June last year. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 28,020.00 (€ 32,551.27), 40% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Paul Feiler have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Porthcadjack, blue & black in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 157,250.00 (€ 198,769.27).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 40 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Italian Town, Spring von Paul Feiler wurde im Juni letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 28.020,00 (€ 32.551,27) und damit 40% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul Feiler auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Porthcadjack, blue & black im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 157.250,00 (€ 198.769,27).
