Auction result well in line with expectations
In January last year Sothebys in New York held the auction The European Art Sale Part II, which included the work Pêcheur au bord de l'eau by Paul Désiré Trouillebert. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,820.00 (€ 7,866.57) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Paul Désiré Trouillebert have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Le faucheur et un rameur sur la rivière. in October 2021 with an auction result of CHF 67,400.00 (€ 63,660.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion The European Art Sale Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pêcheur au bord de l'eau von Paul Désiré Trouillebert zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.820,00 (€ 7.866,57) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul Désiré Trouillebert auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Le faucheur et un rameur sur la rivière. im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 67.400,00 (€ 63.660,09).
