A top price for Paul Delvaux - as previously expected
The work Le Miroir by Paul Delvaux was auctioned at Sothebys in London in February 2016. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,317,000.00 (€ 9,375,831.98) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 5,500,000.00 – 7,500,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Le Miroir is the most expensive artwork by Paul Delvaux that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Le Miroir von Paul Delvaux kam im Februar 2016 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 7.317.000,00 (€ 9.375.831,98) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.500.000,00 – 7.500.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Le Miroir das teuerste Kunstwerk von Paul Delvaux, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
