It achieved a price of GBP 195,600.00 (€ 226,655.74), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 63%. Admittedly, works by Patrick Heron have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Blue Table With Window: 1954 in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 1,049,250.00 (€ 1,160,800.09).
