Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work ROUND TABLE AGAINST THE SEA : 1949 by Patrick Heron was auctioned at Christies in London in March this year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 300,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 315,000.00 (€ 358,373.34). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Patrick Heron - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Blue Table With Window: 1954, which sold at auction in June 2011 for GBP 1,049,250.00 (€ 1,160,800.09).

Die Arbeit ROUND TABLE AGAINST THE SEA : 1949 von Patrick Heron kam im März diesen Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 300.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 315.000,00 (€ 358.373,34) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Patrick Heron mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Blue Table With Window: 1954 beobachtet, die im Juni 2011 für GBP 1.049.250,00 (€ 1.160.800,09) versteigert wurde.
