Auction result well in line with expectations
In December last year Bonhams held the auction Elegant InteriorsA Single Collection, which included the work And I am Alone in My House, 1973, by Patrick Caulfield. The price achieved of AUD 861.00 (€ 547.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 700.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Patrick Caulfield achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Foyer in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 665,000.00 (€ 784,634.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember letzten Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Elegant InteriorsA Single Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit And I am Alone in My House, 1973, von Patrick Caulfield zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 861,00 (€ 547,68) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Patrick Caulfield erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Foyer im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 665.000,00 (€ 784.634,62).
