Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Pan Boying achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2019. In the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction, the work Calligraphy sold for HKD 30,000.00 (€ 3,433.49) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pan Boying achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Couplets In Running Script in October this year with an auction result of HKD 396,000.00 (€ 47,888.72).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Pan Boying erzielte im Mai 2019 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy für HKD 30.000,00 (€ 3.433,49) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pan Boying erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Couplets In Running Script im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 396.000,00 (€ 47.888,72).
