Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Pan Boying achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2017. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Calligraphy Couplet In Xingshu sold for HKD 412,500.00 (€ 45,400.50) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 180,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Pan Boying; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Couplets In Running Script sold at auction in October this year with the realized price of HKD 396,000.00 (€ 47,888.72).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Pan Boying erzielte im Oktober 2017 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Xingshu für HKD 412.500,00 (€ 45.400,50) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 180.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Pan Boying; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Couplets In Running Script im Oktober diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 396.000,00 (€ 47.888,72).
