Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Montmatre by Pal Fried was auctioned at Christies in London in February 2000. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 517.50 (€ 846.85) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Pal Fried have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bucking Bronco in August 2021 with an auction result of USD 4,845.00 (€ 4,105.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Montmatre von Pal Fried kam im Februar 2000 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 517,50 (€ 846,85) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pal Fried auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bucking Bronco im August 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.845,00 (€ 4.105,93).
