Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

In April 2005 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Pictures, which included the work A forest floor still life with a snake, butterflies, a ladybird and a snail, a mountainous landscape beyond by Otto Marseus van Schrieck. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 7,200.00 (€ 10,657.05). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Otto Marseus van Schrieck achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Forest Floor Still Life With Flowers, Mushrooms, Butterflies, A Snake, A Frog, And A Dragonfly in January 2016 with an auction result of USD 125,000.00 (€ 115,398.82).

Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen

Im April 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A forest floor still life with a snake, butterflies, a ladybird and a snail, a mountainous landscape beyond von Otto Marseus van Schrieck zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 7.200,00 (€ 10.657,05) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Otto Marseus van Schrieck erzielen.
