In March 2012 Christies in New York held the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture Including the Collection of Dr. Mark and Irene Kauffman, which included the work Le Jolis Ballon by Orville Bulman. The »bidding war« ended at USD 32,500.00 (€ 24,373.78), 30% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Orville Bulman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Les Voilá Partis in May 2021 with an auction result of USD 126,000.00 (€ 103,329.51).

Im März 2012 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture Including the Collection of Dr. Mark and Irene Kauffman durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le Jolis Ballon von Orville Bulman zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 32.500,00 (€ 24.373,78) und damit 30% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Orville Bulman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Les Voilá Partis im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 126.000,00 (€ 103.329,51).
