Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction The Hoarder Sale, which included this untitled work by Not Vital. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,386.77) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Not Vital achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sled in May 2010 with an auction result of USD 104,500.00 (€ 84,485.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Hoarder Sale durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Not Vital zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.386,77) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Not Vital erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sled im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 104.500,00 (€ 84.485,41).
