Despite a disappointment, a good price for Niels Skovgaard
When the work Pastoral scene by Niels Skovgaard was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in December 2014, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 30,000.00 – 35,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 18,000.00 (€ 1,901.00). Despite this disappointing result, Pastoral scene is the most expensive artwork by Niels Skovgaard that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Niels Skovgaard
Als die Arbeit Pastoral scene von Niels Skovgaard im Dezember 2014 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 30.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 18.000,00 (€ 1.901,00) den Besitzer. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist Pastoral scene das teuerste Kunstwerk von Niels Skovgaard, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
