In March 2009 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art including The Olga Davenport Collection, which included the work My Precious by Nicky Hoberman. The auction ended at the price of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 6,470.10), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Nicky Hoberman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Froth in December 2007 with an auction result of GBP 24,500.00 (€ 33,291.34).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im März 2009 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art including The Olga Davenport Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit My Precious von Nicky Hoberman zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 6.470,10) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nicky Hoberman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Froth im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 24.500,00 (€ 33.291,34).
