Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2013 Christies in London held the auction Kate Moss From The Collection of Gert Elfering, which included the work Gold Kate, for British Vogue, December 2000 by Nick Knight. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 26,895.27) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nick Knight achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tatjana Patitz for Jil Sander, 1992 in November 2016 with an auction result of HKD 2,360,000.00 (€ 287,581.77).
