Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Bords Du Nil; Rue Animéenarcisse Berchère, Banks Of The Nile And Busy Street ; Signed Lower Right ; Watercolour On Paper by Narcisse Berchère for EUR 2,750.00. This price was achieved in the auction Orientalist Sale: Paintings, Sculptures and Works of Art at Sothebys in Paris and was even below the estimate range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Narcisse Berchère achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mahallet-el-Kebir (Lower Egypt) in March last year with an auction result of GBP 23,940.00 (€ 28,383.56).

Im Oktober 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Bords Du Nil; Rue Animéenarcisse Berchère, Banks Of The Nile And Busy Street ; Signed Lower Right ; Watercolour On Paper von Narcisse Berchère für EUR 2.750,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Orientalist Sale: Paintings, Sculptures and Works of Art bei Sothebys in Paris erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Narcisse Berchère erzielen.
