Auction result misses estimated price range
In November this year a collector was able to acquire the work A view of Lønstrup coast with fisher boats drawn up on to the beach by Niels Frederik Schiøttz-Jensen for DKK 4,400.00 (€ 590.14). This price was achieved in the auction Paintings, furniture and varia at Bruun Rasmussen and was even below the estimate range of DKK 8,000.00 – 10,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Niels Frederik Schiøttz-Jensen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A woman in a white dress overlooking the sea in January 2024 with an auction result of DKK 11,000.00 (€ 9,613.70).
