The work Canforumianca by Mimmo Rotella was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Art auction at Il Ponte in May this year. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 24,000.00 60% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mimmo Rotella achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in February 2016 with an auction result of GBP 1,082,500.00 (€ 1,387,090.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 60 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Canforumianca von Mimmo Rotella wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art bei Il Ponte versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 24.000,00 und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mimmo Rotella erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Februar 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.082.500,00 (€ 1.387.090,08).
