A top price for Michelangelo Pistoletto
In October 2017 Christies in London held the auction Thinking Italian, which included the work Uomo che guarda un negativo (Man Looking at a Negative) by Michelangelo Pistoletto. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 3,500,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 3,721,250.00 (€ 4,242,953.40). With this result, Uomo che guarda un negativo (Man Looking at a Negative) is even the most expensive work of art by Michelangelo Pistoletto that we have observed at auctions so far.
