The »bidding war« ended at GBP 9,375.00 (€ 11,272.38), 17% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michelangelo Maestri - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Personifications of eleven hours of the day and night, which sold at auction in April 2000 for GBP 16,450.00 (€ 28,161.73).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 11.272,38) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Michelangelo Maestri mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Personifications of eleven hours of the day and night beobachtet, die im April 2000 für GBP 16.450,00 (€ 28.161,73) versteigert wurde.
