Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2009 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction European Noble and Private Collections, which included the work Erato ed Euterpe; Talia Aristofane; Polinnia e Mnemosine by Michelangelo Maestri. It changed hands for a price of EUR 7,500.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michelangelo Maestri - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Personifications of eleven hours of the day and night, which sold at auction in April 2000 for GBP 16,450.00 (€ 28,161.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2009 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion European Noble and Private Collections durch, in der auch die Arbeit Erato ed Euterpe; Talia Aristofane; Polinnia e Mnemosine von Michelangelo Maestri zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 7.500,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Michelangelo Maestri mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Personifications of eleven hours of the day and night beobachtet, die im April 2000 für GBP 16.450,00 (€ 28.161,73) versteigert wurde.
