Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2010 Sothebys in London held the auction The Greek Sale, which included the work Greek cliffs In Vouliagmeni by Michalis Economou. The price achieved of GBP 73,250.00 (€ 87,533.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michalis Economou - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Along The Shore, which sold at auction in May 2007 for GBP 198,000.00 (€ 291,370.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2010 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Greek Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Greek cliffs In Vouliagmeni von Michalis Economou zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 73.250,00 (€ 87.533,64) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Michalis Economou mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Along The Shore beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für GBP 198.000,00 (€ 291.370,40) versteigert wurde.
