Auction result well in line with expectations
The work We'Re Glad To See You Pablo by Michael Quanne was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2009. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 625.00 (€ 673.97) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Michael Quanne have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mortons Umbrella's in October 2008 with an auction result of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 5,098.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit We'Re Glad To See You Pablo von Michael Quanne kam im März 2009 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 625,00 (€ 673,97) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Michael Quanne auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mortons Umbrella's im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.000,00 (€ 5.098,56).
