Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2008 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Tiny dancers in black and grey by Michael Quanne. The price achieved of GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,896.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michael Quanne - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mortons Umbrella's, which sold at auction in October 2008 for GBP 4,000.00 (€ 5,098.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tiny dancers in black and grey von Michael Quanne zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.500,00 (€ 1.896,60) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Michael Quanne mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mortons Umbrella's beobachtet, die im Oktober 2008 für GBP 4.000,00 (€ 5.098,56) versteigert wurde.
